Greg Urban and "Team Total Mayhem" were the big winners at the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex on Saturday evening, September 11th, as the Western New York oval hosted the second round of Car Wars (formerly Crash-A-Rama) of 2010.

What could possibly be the largest crowd in the history of the Holland speedplant packed the facility for a night of mechanized destruction.

Urban, a past Holland seasonal Figure 8 Car champion, jumped into the lead at the green flag of the 12 lap, 10 entry School Bus Figure 8 race, and was never seriously challenged, surviving a couple of close calls at the "x" en route to a half lap margin of victory and the $1000 top prize. Floridian Dave Warner was the best of the rest, but had to settle for a distant second place finish.

The bunch known as "Team Total Mayhem" proved to be winners as well, as they captured two events. Team members Chris Cornwell and Garrett Chelson were victorious in the 5 lap Chain Race, while fellow team member Jason Marsh bested the 18 entry, 8 lap Boat/Trailer Race.

Twenty-nine cars started the 6 lap Flagpole Race, and Kevin Kamry edged Don Haskell at the checkers in a thrilling finish. The "hometrack" team of Holland veteran drivers Marty "The Madman" Hughes, Rich Perkins, and Jay Murphy took the honors over 5 other entries in the 6 lap Auto Roller Derby event. Brother and sister Nick and Stacey Haniszewski battled it out as the last two cars running in the 22 car front wheel drive compact Demolition Derby, with Nick surviving for the win.

Ninety-one cars started the $5000 to win, 75 lap 4-cylinder enduro. After a thorough re-check of scoring which lasted well into the late night Saturday/Sunday morning hours, Jason Eck was declared the winner of the lucrative event.

The popular monster trucks Backdraft and Eradicator entertained the crowd with wheelie and freestyle exhibitions.

Car Wars brought down the curtain on the 2010 season at the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex.
