“The Rocket” Tommy Catalano and Tony Carbone brought the stout field of Pro Modifieds to the green flag of starter Matt Place for their 30 lap main event and it was Catalano into the lead as Mike Fiebelkorn Jr moved into second. Tim Nies came to a stop in turn four after getting loose on the initial green flag to bring out the caution on lap one. The early race restart saw Catalano get ahead of Fiebelkorn with Amy Catalano passing Tony Carbone to take over third. Jake Vernon moved into the top five after passing George Skora III on lap two. As the top three pulled away, Vernon, Carbone, Skora, Jeff Brown, Andy Jankowiak and Camden Barber all raced side by side for position. Carbone would clear Vernon for fourth on lap eight. Bobby Martin, Ricky Kluth, Tim Nies, Alan Bookmiller and Bobby Lippa Jr came together in turn two to bring out the caution on lap 10. All were able to pull away from the scene except Bobby Martin and Tim Nies. The restart saw Catalano back ahead of Fiebelkorn. After a lap 13 caution for debris, Catalano re-established the lead with Fiebelkorn, Amy Catalano, Carbone and Jeff Brown running in the top five. Brown passed Carbone for fourth spot on lap 17. Andy Jankowiak and George Skora were both able to pass Carbone for fifth and sixth respectively on lap 20. Tommy Catalano would lead the entire distance flag to flag to earn his first career Holland triumph in an open-wheeled racer. Amy Catalano would finish in second and was followed closely by Jeff Brown, Mike Fiebelkorn Jr. and Andy Jankowiak.

JD Roberts and Bobby Weber led the NASCAR Late Models to the green flag for their 20 lap feature event with Roberts getting the early advantage. Eldon King III would battle Josh Hathaway for third and would take over the position on lap three. Roberts would pull away from Weber and King. King was able to get around Weber for second on lap seven and began his chase on race leader Roberts. Josh Hathaway and Brandon Glover made slight contact on lap eight to bring out the caution as Hathaway looped his racer on the back stretch. The lap eight restart would see Roberts looping his racer in turn three to bring out the caution, handing the lead over the Eldon King III. The restart saw King and Dave Whittaker lead the field to the green flag with King taking command of the event with Whittaker and Weber battling for second. Bill Osborn, JD Roberts and Frank Batista Jr went three wide down the front stretch and the three made contact with Batista spinning and hitting the turn one wall. Both Roberts and Batista were able to continue on racing after visiting the pit area. The restart saw King, Whittaker and Weber pull away from the field. King and Whittaker pulled away from Weber as King would pick up the win. Brandon Glover would edge out Bobby Weber to cross the line in third.

Ken Maltby and Tommy Wentland were on the front row for the Bank of Holland Chargers feature as it was Maltby showing the way. Dave Vona would take over the lead on lap six. Eric Brown started deep in the field and would move into second on lap 26 and quickly began chasing down Loffredo. Brown’s trek to the front came up short as Loffredo was able to pick up the victory.

Scott Gleed and Andy Nye led the field of NYPA TQ Midgets for their 20 lap feature with Nye jumping into the race lead. Jim Fleischman and Leon Szweda came together in turn three to bring out the races first caution on lap one. The red lights would come on after Chad Heywood made hard contact with the turn one wall. Andy Nye would once again take over the lead as Kyle Hutchinson moved into third after starting 12th on the grid. Hutchinson would go after Charlie DiRosa for second and would move into the runner up spot on lap five. Hutchinson would apply the pressure to Nye for the lead as DiRosa was leading Nick Groff, Dave Wollaber, Jonathan Reid and Shawn Nye for the battle for third. The caution would come out on lap 12 as Shawn Nye came to a stop on the top side of turn two. The mid-race restart would see Andy Nye and Hutchinson pull away from the balance of the field as Reid and Wollaber got around DiRosa to move into third and fourth. Hutchinson would take over the lead on lap 16 after going underneath Nye entering turn three. The caution came out on lap 18 for Erik Musto who spun in turn two. The two lap shootout saw Hutchinson, Nye and Reid take off from the field as Nye challenged Hutchinson and passed him entering turn three and regained the lead and picked up the win. Chris Powers would go three wide with Szafraniec and Abrams for second and Powers would take over the runner up spot on lap 13. Abrams’s strong run would come to an end after loosing a tire on lap 17 to bring out the caution. Chris Powers went pitside and was able to rejoin the event at the tail-end of the field. The mid-race restart saw Hejna take off into the lead as Josh Hill caught Szafraniec for second as did Louis Carbone and Joe Brunka. Brunka went three wide to take over second with less than ten laps remaining. Hejna was able to pull away from Brunka to pick up his third victory of the season. Brunka, Carbone, Szafraniec, and Hill would complete the top five. Brunka would be found to be illegal in post-race tech.

Qualifying winner Darren Lenhardt and Matt Kuppel were on the front row for the Future 4 main event with Lenhardt moving into the lead as the division ran their 12 lap feature under the lights. Lenhardt would pull away from Kuppel as the event went on as Nikki Maltby took over fourth from former feature winner Kathie Ricketson. Lenhardt would pick up the victory over Matt Kuppel. Joe Anthony would hold off Nikki Maltby to take home third.

Bob Palmer and Don Haskell brought the field of M&M U Pull-It Figure 8’s to the green flag for their feature event and it was Toms showing the way onto the Figure 8 track. Jason Adams would take over the race lead on lap two. The lead trio of Adams, Toms, and Joe Mastrocicco hit traffic at the “X” but were able to sneak on by after Don Haskell and Jason Ansiewicz came together. Adams would pull away to pick up the victory to keep his perfect season intact. Toms would finish in second and Mastrocicco would complete the top three.

News and Notes: The Liberty Solutions sponsored number 9 Hornet/Future 4 won every event it was entered in this evening as the car won both heats and both features with Kenny Hejna and Darren Lenhardt doing the driving chores. With the recent repave to the Figure 8 track a few weeks ago, the surface will now also house a small Go-Kart track with racing to begin in a few weeks. We will be working closely with the Barber family, owners and operators of Bliss International Speedway.
