HOLLAND, NY… (June 17, 2017) The hills of Holland once again stood as the picturesque setting for the Spring Crash-A-Rama presented by United Rentals and Bobcat of Buffalo. The show kicked off with a Patriotic salute that saw fans waving American Flags that were made right here in the U.S.A. The program ended with a fantastic Fireworks Show presented by Previty’s Auto Wrecking and L&R Roll-Off. Matt Serafin was unofficially scored the win in the Enduro. Brandon Webber won the School Bus Figure 8 Race. “The Mad Man” Marty Hughes and Dan Scharf won the Double Decker race, the first of its kind at Crash-A-Rama. Dustin Wierzba won the Boat-Trailer Race. Steve Fuhrmann won the Flag Pole Race.

$5000 in prize money was handed out after the Enduro with 90 entries take part in the 100 lap/1hr timed event with past race winner Gary Ovitt showing the way early. John Mendolera took the lead away on lap eight but Gary Ovitt will regain the lead nearing the halfway juncture in the event. Jeff Dorenzo would battle with Ovitt and would swap the lead several times throughout the race. Gary Ovitt hit the turn three wall a ton after trying to pass a lap car on lap 62 to bring out the red. Matt Serafin was unofficially scored as the leader on the restart and would lead the final thirteen circuits to unofficially cross the line first.

12 Full Size School Buses took the speedway for their $1,000 to win Figure 8 race with Brandon Webber showing the way. Weber dominated the event, nearly lapping the field in route to the win in his second career School Bus Figure 8 race.  Kevin Becker won the School Bus Figure 8 Heat Race.

New to the Holland Spring Crash-A-Rama show was Double Decker Racing. This saw two cars welded together with the bottom car handling the steering and the top car handling the throttle. No communication could take place between the two cars. The black and orange cars team of Joseph Coleman and Doug Brewster took command. The leaders flipped in turn one after contact with the team of Beau Robinson and Josh Nero. Marty Hughes and Dan Scharf edged out the team Rampage drivers to get the win in the Double Decker event.

24 teams signed up for the Boat-Trailer Race with Jason Eck floating right into the lead. Dustin Wierzba took the lead away from Eck and would go on to score the win. Jay Eck showed the way early in the Flag Pole Race. Steve Fuhrmann took the lead away from Eck on lap seven. Fuhrmann would go on to score the win. Bob Earnst outlasted 10 other competitors in the Demolition Derby

The midway was packed with entertainment for all ages with the first ever “Dunk the Dentist” with the WNY Dental Group. Proceeds from the Dunk the Dentist benefited the Boys and Girls Club of Holland. The midway was also filled with music as local recording artist Jordan Rose performed. Jordan just released her first EP, which is now available on iTunes. Also on the midway, had representatives from Hometown Entertainment Group handing out swag prizes as well as quoting interested fans in their services as well as representatives from the local Friends of the NRA Niagara Frontier Chapter.
